Sidraya Bussie, MS
Family Link, Lead Therapist
Sidraya Bussie joined the Youth Crisis Center team in fall 2016 as a Family Link therapist and is currently the Lead Family Link Therapist.
She earned her master’s of science in mental health counseling at Nova Southeastern University Private Research Institution and became a clinical Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern here in Jacksonville, Florida. Sidraya was an outstanding student whose initial practicum placement was at Child Guidance, where she interned and worked with the Full School Service Program. There she demonstrated her therapeutic skills with elementary, middle and high school students in Duval Public County Schools. Bussie also provided outreach services in schools and communities for at-risk children, adolescents and teenagers (ages 6-17) and their families. In this position, she conducted individual, family and group therapy to the youth, and assisted them with setting and reaching their positive change goals.
At Youth Crisis Center, Bussie continues her experience with therapy and involvement in the community. She manages the Family Link Program and assists clinicians with a variety of cases across a diverse population. Bussie was Employee of the Year in 2017 and is still creating great changes in the lives of clients and families.
