Carl Keller, MSW

Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern, Family Link Therapist

Carl Keller joined the YCC team in fall of 2016 as a Family Link Therapist for Nassau County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts and a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts.

Keller has broad experience in the field and has worked in organizations committed to servicing families and children in the Western Massachusetts area. During his initial practicum placement, he interned with Westover Air Reserve Base Airmen Family Support Center, providing counseling services to our service men and women departing to and returning from deployment. Then, after serving 20 years in the U.S. Navy, he returned for his master’s degree and began his career as a social worker.

In his masters’ practicum, Keller interned with Clinical Support Options in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he provided in-home services for families and at-risk youth. He provided counseling and assisted them with reaching their goals for housing, education and employment. Keller began his post-educational career as a clinical social worker with River Valley Counseling Center in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where he provided in home and office based counseling services for individuals, families and children in the western Massachusetts area.

Keller’s commitment to excellence during his educational pursuits has garnered him featured recognition as the face of the social work programs for both Elms College and Westfield State University. He was also honored with the Margaret Carson Award in Social Work.

Keller is an avid traveler and baseball lover. He is a proud father of four and has an amazing wife of 14 years.
